I was at a dinner recently and we were talking about Facebook and how I actively remove “friends.” One of the people there was confused about why I would do that. A few reasons:
1. We joke about being “FB official,” but there is something to be said on seeing who your mutual friends are on Facebook.
2. Call me old-fashioned, but I’d like to have people I do consider “friends” on my friends list.
3. It keeps my newsfeed (which I can only access via my fone) clean. When I occasionally glance at it, I’d rather keep it clean of the “you can do it,” “look at how amazing my life is,” “KILLING IT #GRINDLIFE,” and similar garbage.
I keep my life simple and clean wherever I can. No need to have dingledouches in my life (even in the periphery).
